Out of line...

Have you ever been out of alignment?

Maybe you’ve had to take your car in to be readjusted or you needed a visit to the chiropractor…

We did that recently.

Sometimes when we get out of alignment, it’s a gradual process; other times it happens quickly when we hit a bump in the road or we tweak a muscle, but either way, it ends up being painful.

...And if we don’t get it fixed, it can lead to serious problems.

Life isn’t exactly a linear process, so just like a plane has to make many midcourse corrections to it’s flight path, it is helpful for us to regularly check in on our alignment.

So what kind of alignment are we talking about?

In order to become the best version of ourselves and to make the progress we desire to achieve, we need to be acting and making decisions that are in alignment with where we are going (goals) and who we are becoming.

So, consider this your adjustment ;)

Here’s some questions to help you check your alignment and get you back into place:

  • What are your top 3-5 goals/priorities right now?

  • How much progress have you made towards those goals in the past 2 weeks?

  • Look at your schedule. Where have you been investing the majority of your time?

  • What changes need to be made to help you make greater progress?

  • If someone were asked to describe you, what 5 qualities would you hope they would say?

  • How are you doing in each of those qualities?

  • What is one thing you can do this week to exhibit more of one of those characteristics?

P.S. If you found this little alignment check-in to be helpful, here’s what we use to do these kinds of check-ins on a monthly basis.
